A WEDDING AT THE LOST ORANGERY, COLERNE
I love shooting at new venue’s so when I received Katya & Adam’s email about their Lost Orangery Wedding back in June 2018 I was naturally curious as I never heard of it before (I guess the clue would be in the name). When I receive enquires about places I haven’t worked at before, I always check out photos of weddings previously photographed at them on Google Images. What I saw both online and in person absolutely blew me away; nestled in the Cotswolds near the beautiful village of Castle Combe, The Lost Orangery is an exclusive self-catering venue with Georgian styled architecture set in 450 acres worth of beautiful Cotswolds hills. I’ve been scratching my head to find words and or phrases to describe it and all I came up with was ‘ if Carlsberg did weddings, they would do them at The Lost Orangery.’
Their wedding was by far one of the most beautiful occasions I’ve ever had the pleasure to shoot at (I mean, they could’ve got hitched at a Travelodge and it still would’ve been incredible) and it was all amazingly complimented by The Lost Orangery. The day itself was absolutely perfect from when we arrived to the hive of getting ready activity in the morning to the ceremony in the Orangery itself and all the way through to the evening party when Adam, the frontman of his band, got up on stage a blasted out a set which had the dance floor bouncing. Their were a mryiad of highlights that I could talk about but, not being the best writer in the world, I feel as though I should let the pictures should do the talking. Katya and Adam, thank you so much for having us at your wedding - it was off the charts and truly one that we’ll never forget.
