WEDDING AT NANCARROW FARM
There would be too many superlatives to describe Nancarrow Farm; perhaps fabulous, awesome, lovely, superb, cracking, amazeballs, spiffing - and it’s always sunny there (honest!). The staff are lovely and organised, the venue is beautifully rustic and food-wise, it’s surpassed by very few.
Their day started with the guys’ going to St. Agnes for a chilly wetsuit-less swim and the girls getting ready at Nancarrow’s bridal suite. It then finished with tequilas and ties around heads on the dance floor.
A few hours before that though, we bore witness to kiwi ballerina (that’s Delia btw) and Josh get hitched in front of their nearest and dearest with lots of people overheard saying ‘awww, these guys are so in love’, ‘what a beautiful dress’ (made by Delia’s mum nonetheless!), ‘what a handsome young man Josh is’ and ‘how’s this weather?!’ After all, we’re talking about Cornwall in the summer which isn’t the most reliable place to get wall to wall blue skies.
So, I’ll let you into a little secret; when it came to taking them out for portraits - I was intending to shoot in a nearby forest littered with pine trees, however we got a little lost and ended up driving up random farmers’ lanes for a wee while. After a few more trips up disgruntled, tooled up farmers’ lanes complete with threats to shoot us if we didn’t get off their land, we randomly stumbled across a beautiful little nature reserve in Truro called Daubuz Moor - result!
Anyway, what I’ll do now is stop writing a let these pictures tell the story.
